September 3, 2023Market Street, from Burnt Mill Creek to the downtown waterfront, is architecturally and historically significant, and emits much beauty of nature.
The development of Market Street corresponds with the development of the City of Wilmington.
After Burnt Mill Creek and the Forest Hills and Kenwood areas, the city demonstrates the consequences of urban sprawl and suburbanization. From an area past the current WMCA to the east, we see, primarily, highway commercial development. It is nothing to compare to what exists on the waterfront and downtown Market Street area.
My blog today is mainly photographic in nature. The photos speak for themselves in displaying the abundant beauty.
